The Gas Stations

All over Georgia, beautiful old gas stations line the side of the road.  Some are abandoned, some repurposed.  I am repeatedly struck by their beauty and uniqueness.  One Georgian friend noted my fascination with gas stations is a truly American phenomenon with a Georgian twist.  Another friend commented the gas stations seemed to reflect each of their regions.   To me the architecture and style of these old stations represent the pride of ownership and show how beauty is often found in unexpected places.
