The Portraits

While I don't consider myself to be a portrait photographers, these lovely men and women, were generous in their willingness to let me shoot them.  I only take photos of people with their permission.  What I love about all of these is the wonderful memories for me that accompany all of them.

Friendship
This beautiful woman of Kakheti taught me how to make traditional Georgian bread in the tone oven - which is not as easy as it looks but is more delicious fresh out of the oven than nearly anything else in the world.

Kindness

The Boss
The head of the fish corner at a bazaar in Baku, she really was in charge of her business and despite the many able-bodied men in her shop, she was the boss!
The Entrepreneur
A shrewd business woman and tough negotiator, I walked away with more churchkela and pumpkins than I could ever eat.

The Future

The Love of Family
The head of a family of six lovely daughters in Svaneti, we shared an evening with him and his family that was full of love, laughter, and happiness.
