This series is a nod to the tradition of miniature paintings in the region. The influence of the Moghul and Persian artistic tradition of small, intimate and detailed paintings gave me the idea to show a contemporary, photographic interpretation of the style.

My husband and I had just completed a long day hike through the pass from Mestia to Mazeri in a record 8 hours. We were exhausted and ready for a relaxing evening, only to discover the music festival in front of our hotel. We may not have slept well, but I did get some great photographs.
